SQE responsibilities [复制链接]

Hi, everyone in SMT.

Supply quality engineer actually played an important role in a company.
The responsibilities of an SQE doesnot consist of IQC,IPQC,EOL, but more should be included.
Delivery, Service, Technology, shall be another way that shall be concerned with.

That is my comments on SQE.

Yes, as a Suppily Quality Engineer, you must to asstent your vender to ipmrove their quality to satisfy with company.
In order to find a new vendor, SQE should do surver and also do QPA&QSA audit to check whether they can meet or not.
BTW, SQE also need to forward the quality issue info to suppliers to analyse, assist them to find the root cause and also find the method or correct action.
In a word, SQE is the core of a company the same as Engineer Department.

in my company, if can't find the root cause of ill-product in process, the engineer will suspect the quality of the incoming material ,then SQE will statistic the occurence rate of the ill-product material, if low dppm SQE will ignore it ,in my opinion they are very leisure and always argue with ME

I don't really agree that SQE does not play the role on IQC or IPQC. The EA (ENgineering Analysia) / VA (Verifying Analysia) & FAI (First Article Inspection) need the supporting data from IQC or IPQC. Unless the expected SQE only touch on the AVL matter, otherwise it could be part of the verification job for SQE.

I suggest a good SQE may ought to predict the preventive action such as OC (Optimum Curve) in order to know how many percentage risk for a cusmer is taking. Evaultion & Selection of Supplier also part of their workscopes.

In my opinion,SQE should be a coordinator between production line and supplier.First,SQE should know their process deeply as well;2nd, SQE can indentify any defect whether belongs to incoming issue or not.3rd, SQE should help supplier improve their quality and teach them meet the SPEC you want.

Anyway,some basic knowledge should know by SQE.Such as ISO,QC,TS and samping check info.

Base on my experience, the SQE's resposibility is defined in different company. For the common responsibility, the core is push supplier to improve.

SQE IS SQE ,IQC IS IQC ,The Resposibilty has a different, SQE incharg of supplier quality issue , supplier auditor issue , poor material issue, in fact , QA team include SQE 、IQC, IPQC 、OQC and so on .
